Superfood Hot Cocoa for Four



  • 4 cups brewed ginger tea
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 4 dates, soaked for a few hours, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup wide unsweetened coconut shreds, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 4 cinnamon sticks (for garnish)


  1. Blend all ingredients (except the cinnamon sticks) in a blender. Strain through cheesecloth or a nut milk bag. Heat strained mixture gently in sauce pan until warm. Serve with a cinnamon stick for garnish.
