Spring Nettle Tonic



  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon dried nettle leaves OR 1/2 cup fresh nettle leaves
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 slice lemon (optional)
  • Fresh mint (optional)


  1. Bring one cup of water to a boil, and pour over nettles and steep. Nettles can steep anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours, depending on strength of tea desired. Strain tea and add your favorite accent such as honey, maple syrup, a slice of lemon, or fresh mint.
