Sardine Surprise



  • 1 can of your favorite sardines
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons horseradish mustard
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 generous squeeze of fresh lemon juice (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch lemon pepper


  1. Drain sardines, place in a bowl, and chop into chunks with a fork. Add celery and onion to sardines and stir. In a separate bowl, blend horseradish mustard, olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt and lemon pepper. Combine dressing with sardine mixture and serve.
