Sardine Salad



  • 1 can sardines
  • 1 can Wild Planet Mackerel Filets
  • 3-4 Tbls avocado oil mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbls finely chopped shallot
  • 1/3 cup Farmhouse Culture Horseradish Leek sauerkraut
  • 3 Tbls Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1 rib celery, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbls Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Drain sardines and mackerel, place in a bowl and mash with a fork. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Serve with your favorite sliced veggies or atop toasted sourdough bread. For a sophisticated twist on the tuna melt, try this on sourdough with Sierra Nevada raw goat cheddar melted on top.
