Halibut Bone Broth



  • 2-3 lbs. halibut bones
  • 2 ribs of celery
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1-2 carrots
  • 6 sprigs of parsley
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp whole peppercorns
  • 4-6 quarts of water


  1. Rinse halibut bones under cold running water for a few minutes. Add all ingredients to pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium low heat and simmer gently for 1 hour. A gentle simmer will result in a clear and delicate broth with a sweet aroma. Strain using a fine mesh sieve. Refrigerate or freeze.
