Because no Christmas cookie party is complete without sugar cookies cut into cool shapes. And because who doesn’t love pink icing that gets its color from cherry juice?
Makes 7-8 dozen.
Beat sugar, butter, egg until fluffy. Beat in sour cream and vanilla until smooth. Gradually mix in dry ingredients, and form a ball. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Roll out, cut in shape of choice and bake 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Combine all icing ingredients and frost over cooled cookies.
