Basic Pesto



  • 4 oz. herbs or leafy greens
  • 3 oz. nuts or seeds, lightly toasted
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Coarse salt


  1. Combine nuts and garlic in food processor and pulse until finely ground.

  2. Roughly chop basil, then add to processor and pulse for a few seconds.

  3. While machine is running, drizzle in olive oil, and process until desired consistency is reached.

  4. Mix in cheese and add salt to taste.
