Avocado Chocolate Mousse



  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream (solids from the top of the canned coconut milk)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon maca powder (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (optional, omit to make anti-inflammatory)


  1. Combine all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor. Blend until it is silky smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning. Refrigerate and serve with cashew cream or whipped coconut cream.
