Mashed Celery Root



  • 2 celery roots, trimmed and cubed
  • 4 tablespoons pasture butter or extra virgin olive oil
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, roasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste


  1. Steam the cubed celery root until tender, approximately 15-20 minutes. Drain and place in food processor. Add butter or olive oil, garlic, turmeric, sea salt and pepper. Puree until mixture is smooth and creamy.
