Total Time
1 hour 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 tablespoon New Seasons Market Savory Herb Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 pound fresh salmon fillet, pin bones removed
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 lemon, washed and cut into wedges
Cedar plank
Directions
-
Soak cedar plank in water for at least an hour, placing a heavy object on top so it doesn’t float.
-
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
-
In a small bowl, combine New Seasons Market Savory Herb Seasoning, paprika, pepper, and brown sugar.
-
Rub the salmon fillet with avocado oil and coat with seasoning mixture, adding more according to desired taste.
-
Remove soaked plank from the water and pat dry with a towel.
-
Place the plank on the grill and close the lid. Once the plank begins to smoke, carefully remove from the grill using tongs and place onto a heat safe dish or sheet pan. Close the lid to allow the grill to heat, about 5-10 minutes.
-
Place the salmon skin side down on the plank with the charred side facing up. Return to grill and cook until an internal temperature of 145°F degrees or your desired temperature is reached.
-
Remove plank from the grill onto a heat safe surface.
-
Top with lemon wedges and enjoy!
