Zero Foodprint: A Collective Movement to Address Climate Change

We’re working alongside our friends at Zero Foodprint to support climate-smart farming practices. Learn how this collective effort is helping build a more sustainable future.

At New Seasons, we’re committed to supporting more sustainable agriculture—and you can see that commitment in action through our partnership with Zero Foodprint, a nonprofit working to mobilize the food world in support of sustainable agriculture.

Through small contributions across the food system, Zero Foodprint funds grants to local farmers and ranchers who are implementing climate-smart practices. These projects help improve soil health, support resilient farms, and contribute to long-term climate solutions.

We launched our partnership with Zero Foodprint in 2023, bringing together 25 brands to donate 1% of April sales in support of this work. This year, that effort has grown to 64 brands—including New Seasons Brand.

So far, Zero Foodprint's work in the Northwest has provided 28 grants of over $500,000 across over 60,000 acres with modeled carbon sequestration of over 14,000 tons of CO2e—equal to not burning over 1.6 million gallons of gas.

Zero Foodprint Executive Director Anthony Myint is not only an award-winning chef and restaurateur, but he's also a leader in the movement to create a solution to the climate crisis, and his outlook puts the strides we're making into perspective:

"What's amazing is that we can undo all the damage from decades of industrial farming with one decade of regenerative agriculture."

Our commitment to addressing climate change for our communities, local farmland, and the planet aligns with Anthony and Zero Foodprint, and by working together, we're doubling our impact.
