Cedar-planked Dijon Salmon



  • 2 lbs wild salmon filet, whole
  • 1 cedar plank, soaked in water for 20 minutes, patted dry


  • 1/2 cup dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon whole mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice


  1. Preheat grill to high heat for 15 minutes and then adjust to medium low (if using charcoal grill, simply move the coals to one side after heating.) Place salmon skin-side-down on cedar plank.
    Whisk together mustard marinade ingredients and spread on top of salmon. Place cedar plank on cool side of grill if using coals, cover the grill and cook for 15 minutes or until salmon is cooked through to 140°F.
