Working here, it’s easy to be inspired by the activism of the community around us. As supporters of the DCBA (Division Clinton Business Association), we host neighborhood meetings and participate in many events throughout the year. Neighborhood cleanups give way to street fairs like the Muddy Boot Festival and the Division Street Parade in the summer.
Since 1949, the Portland Rescue Mission has had a tireless commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Through the generous donations of our Seven Corners customers, we have been able to help PRM offer emergency services of food and shelter at their original downtown location: 111 West Burnside.
Community Coordinator Jeremy Gambill has been in the grocery biz since 2010 and now the Texas-native calls Portland home. After moving here with his partner in 2014, he was welcomed with open arms by the Seven Corners team. In his free time, this self-proclaimed “movie and music nerd” volunteers at the Hollywood Theater and KPSU radio station. Most weekends you’ll find Jeremy in the kitchen testing out a new recipe or watching one of his 400+ VHS tapes.
