Our Seven Corners store is right there by their side, participating in neighborhood cleanups and street fairs, supporting area public schools and contributing to the construction of the new Abernethy Community Playground.

The managers of the store are always looking for new opportunities to interact with the community. We likes to think of the store as more of a community center, since so many of the store’s customers use it to visit with neighbors or have a small meeting over a meal from our Deli.

We count on neighborhood customers like “Boots,” a local Italian woman, to keep us updated on the issues of the neighborhood.  Customers make sure we know when certain cultural holidays are coming up, what sorts of foods we might want to stock for them, and other happenings.

Take a seat at the community table in our Deli area and meet your neighbors. You’ll see a constantly updated selection of fantastic art from local kids. Get to know our Lead Staff Nutritionist Karen Seibert and learn about all the fantastic Wellness Classes she teaches for customers and youth in the area. Check out the always-full community bulletin board on the outside of the store for ads for anything from housemates to lost dogs to Mandarin Chinese lessons. If you live or work in the neighborhood, chances are you’ll run into at least half a dozen people you know once you walk in the door.

Or maybe you’ll run into someone you’d like to know. There’s a reason New Seasons Market staff were named one of the “sexiest staffs in Portland” by the Portland Mercury. Stationed in one of the hippest neighborhoods of the city, someone in the store, whether staff or fellow customer, is bound to catch your eye. Once you find that someone, run to the front and buy them a bouquet of fresh, funky flowers courtesy our Floral Department. At Seven Corners, we’re good for much more than just putting dinner on the table.
