Passion: To sustain my land and learn from others to do the best for the future of food and for those that consume it.

Simington Gardens, worked by Michael Simington, is a 10-acre plot in the upper Willamette Valley in Aurora, Oregon with the mission to cultivate organic food while stewarding the natural environment. Farming is a family legacy for Michael Simington—his great grandfather was a farmer, and he grew up helping tend his family’s large garden. He currently cultivates two acres of his family’s land, producing an assortment of organic salad greens, fresh sweet corn, garlic, fresh herbs and dry-farmed tomatoes for New Seasons Market’s Market Day and plans to continue growing his farm and to start a community supported agriculture program.

“People feel more comfortable when they know where their food is coming from. Market Day’s a great way to connect with consumers.” -- Mike Simington
