Passion: To establish an enduring place-based food economy.

April Jones was raised just up the road from the 24-acre Ridgefield, Washington farm she now owns and works. On a bluff overlooking the Columbia River slough, the farm produces a wide variety of crops, including heirloom winter squashes, carrots, beets, fresh sweet corn and heritage pigs. The farm is also host to one of Clark County Washington’s oldest Gravenstein apple trees and a vineyard of table grapes. April's grapes and concord grape juice are among her favorite things to grow and eat. April has crafted a thriving Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that her neighbors enjoy, developed a strong relationship with Vancouver area chefs and is a prime New Seasons Market Market Day grower.

"My farming practices are a dance. I try very hard not to step on Mother Nature's toes."  - April Jones
