Programs for Children and the Schools

Cans for Kids

Look for our "Cans for Kids" bins when you drop off your aluminum cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles, and we'll send  100 percent of your deposits to the Local Schools Foundation. Not only that, but the proceeds stay within the community of each specific store.

Since starting the Cans for Kids program in 2002, New Seasons Market customers have donated almost $175,000 to local schools. That's a lot of cans!

Make sure to keep an eye out for the specially marked bins the next time you're in a store and don't hesitate to include your plastic bottles along with the glass and aluminim. Every bit helps!

School Fruit Program

Now you can support our schools by eating fresh local apples and pears. With your help, New Seasons Market is once again supporting the Portland, Beaverton, North Clackamas and Hillsboro Schools Foundations with our School Fruit Program. With your help, we gave more than  $45,000 to the schools in 2009. So far, we've donated over $277,000 through this program!

Watch for the School Fruit signs in our Produce Department. We’ll donate 100 percent of the profits from these Northwest-grown apples and pears to the schools foundations. Each time you purchase the School Fruit apples and pears, you’re helping students succeed and supporting teachers who make that success possible.
