Rogue Brewing is a little, yet very bold brewery, located in the coastal town of Newport, Oregon. Part of their “Rouge Nation” story is about battling bad beer and they have this to say about it: “Rogue has been a survivor in this battle and in fact has prospered. By not sacrificing quality for price, ingredients for water, and by having a strong moral conscience that means doing the right thing and telling the truth, at all costs.”

The brewing fun started back in 1988, when three guys named Rob, Bob and Jack wanted to trade the corporate scene for the beer scene. They did exactly that, and started with a small brew system in Ashland, Oregon. A year later, they expanded slightly and opened a little bit bigger place in Newport. The Ashland brewpub closed in 1997, after suffering severe flood damage.

Since then, they’ve expanded the Newport location and have even expanded their craft into the fine art of distilling. Not only do they brew our local beer favorites, but they make a mean Gin, Wasabi Vodka, Cherry Vodka, Dark Rum, White Rum and Hazelnut Spiced Rum. At the moment, their tasty spirits are only available out in Newport, but lucky for you their ales are cold and waiting for your pint glass in our Beer and Wine Department.

You can enjoy 22 ounce bottles (those are the big ones), singles or six packs of their preservative-free delicious brews. Some of our favorites include the Chocolate Stout, the Hazelnut Brown Nectar, and of course the Dead Guy Ale! That one is so popular it even comes by the jug!
